Players Who Reject Exercise Should Not Work Out Salute At All Impacts Of The Chaotic Premier League

The Premier League is still trying to find the best way to continue the rest of the 2019/20 season, at least back to the training ground. However, there are reportedly some players who refuse to practice because they are still afraid of the corona virus threat.

The situation in the Premier League is indeed quite unique and clearly more difficult. When players in Serie A and La Liga can't wait to get back to training and playing, some Premier League players are still full of anxiety.

In essence, the players are worried about training again, let alone playing. Even though conditions are better now, they know the corona virus is still haunting. Feelings of uncertainty overcame their longing for soccer.

This issue was reiterated by officials of one of the Premier League clubs to Sky Sports. What he said?

Not Paid
This high-ranking official who declined to be named explained that the current situation was strange and unprecedented. He stressed that if the players were anxious and did not want to practice, they should not need to be paid at all. Even so, he did not know whether such matters were included in the contract.

"I really feel they do not need to be paid. We do not know for sure whether this situation is listed in their contracts now," said the source.

"If you ask people on the street: do they want to practice and play soccer against opponents who are tested [Covid-19] twice a week and get paid 60,000 pounds per week, I'm sure they all want to."

Around half
This week, most clubs hope their players are back and ready to train, even if they have to gradually. However, this Sky Sports source re-exposed the fact that at most there were only 50% of players ready to practice.

"I hope we can train again in small groups this week. The plan is to practice gradually, until finally practicing fully in a week," he added.

"I suspect most, if not all, of our players will return this week. However, many of them are worried about playing and engaging in physical contact in training sessions."

"I think there are about 40-50% of players," he concluded.
