Juventus is the most successful club in the history of Italian football. They collected the most Scudetto with 36 trophies. The Bianconeri are also quite successful in European competition with 2 Champions League trophies and 3 Europa Leagues.
Throughout their history they have been inhabited by many legendary players such as Roberto Baggio, David Trezeguet to Zinedine Zidane. Alessandro Del Piero is the club's all-time top scorer, but the player has hung up his boots. While the following five players are the club's all-time top scorers who are still actively playing. This is the review.
1. Paulo Dybala (112 goals)
Paulo Dybala is Juventus' top scorer who is still actively playing at the Turin club. He collected 112 goals from 281 appearances. The Argentine is just three goals away from equaling Roberto Baggio's goalscoring record.
However, his future with Juventus is currently uncertain. His contract will expire in June 2022, but the two parties have yet to reach an agreement on a new contract. This condition makes Dybala the target of many top European clubs.
2. Cristiano Ronaldo (101 goals)
Cristiano Ronaldo only three seasons with Juventus. However, it was enough for him to break various records in Serie A. He managed to score 101 goals from 134 games. The Portuguese superstar is the fastest Juventus player to touch 100 goals.
In the summer of 2021, he surprisingly chose to return to Manchester United. His departure left a big hole in the Bianconeri's attack. However, Juventus managed to find a successor in Dusan Vlahovic.
3. Gonzalo Higuain (66 goals)
In the summer of 2016, Juventus broke the club transfer record by bringing in Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli. He was redeemed at a price of 90 million euros, or around Rp. 1.4 trillion.
The Argentinean has become the club's new goal machine with a total of 66 goals from 149 matches. However, his position has been marginalized since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
He was loaned out to AC Milan and Chelsea before finally leaving for MLS for free in the summer of 2020. He joined David Beckham's club, Inter Miami.
4. Alvaro Morata (55 goals)
Currently, Alvaro Morata costumed Juventus as a loan player from Atletico Madrid for two seasons. However, he also briefly defended the Bianconeri from 2014 to 2016. During that time he has scored 55 goals for Juventus from 173 matches.
Rumors circulated that it was unlikely that Juventus would make the former Real Madrid player permanent. Because they have got Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina. Morata was rumored to be joining Barcelona last January, and this could happen in the summer of 2022.
5. Carlos Tevez (50 goals)
After a career in the Premier League with the Manchester duo, Carlos Tevez left for Juventus in the summer of 2013. He was on a short-term contract, but managed to make a big impact. Tevez brought Juventus through to the Champions League final before finally losing to Barcelona.
During two seasons in Turin, Tevez collected 50 goals from 96 games. In 2015 he returned to Argentina to play for his youth club Boca Juniors. He is now 38 years old, and is without a club after breaking his contract with Boca Juniors in the summer of 2021.
From the list of players above, only Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata are still actively playing for Juventus. However, this also has the potential to be their last season at the Allianz Stadium. Because the contracts of both players will expire next June 2022.
