Dusan Tadic was born on November 20, 1988. He was born to Marija Tadic and Petar Tadic. Tadic's parents are farmers who live in simplicity. Although born in Serbia, the majority of the Tadic family came from Hungary. Today, the Hungarian population even comes from Serbia.

When he was growing up, Dusan Tadic was involved in the world of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and mining. But in the end, he never got away from his childhood hobby, namely playing soccer. Dusan Tadic started football with a local team. At that time, he played with his siblings and peers.

Little Tadic idolized Arsenal. He sees French striker Thierry Henry as his inspiration. He often passes the day playing ball and learning certain tricks so that his game is more honed.

Tadic started playing as a team with a local club, AIK Backa Topola. He had a lot of experience there and was very happy when he started working on the round leather. Playing at the club gives great hope to Dusan Tadic. His determination to continue advancing finally led him to the team from Novi Sad, Serbia, Vojvodina.

In 2002, Tadic finally signed a professional contract with Vojvodina and played his first competitive match in the Meridian SuperLiga at the age of 18.

While playing for Vojvodina, he gained invaluable experience by playing against great top teams, even playing against Atletico Madrid, and playing almost four full seasons without injury or major incidents.

In 2010, Vojvodina sold it to Groningen. On 8 August 2010, Tadic made his official debut for the club in the Eredivisie competition against Ajax. Playing full, Tadic managed to provide assists for Tim Matavz's goal until the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

On 30 January 2011, Tadic scored two goals and provided one assist in the 1-4 draw against Heerenveen in the league. Tadic himself finished the 2010/11 season with 7 goals and 22 assists in 41 matches.

After two seasons playing for Groningen, Tadic then moved to FC Twente. On April 10, 2012, it was announced that Tadic had signed a contract with FC Twente for a transfer value of 7 million euros or 109 billion rupiah.

In his debut match, Tadic scored a goal against his former club. He also finished his debut season as the team's top scorer with 16 goals in all competitions, behind Nacer Chadli.

In the following season, Tadic again scored 16 goals in all competitions and became the team's top scorer.

In 2014, Tadic was challenged to have a career outside the Netherlands. He then chose to join Southampton.

At that time, Tadic became the first player to sign Southampton's new manager, Ronald Koeman, on July 8, 2014. The 181 meter man signed a four-year contract.

Considered as a talented player, Ajax is interested in bringing in Tadic. He finally signed a contract with the club in June 2018. Ajax paid a transfer value of 11 million euros or the equivalent of 171 billion rupiah.

On March 5, 2019, Tadic's goal, complemented by two assists in his best performance, helped Ajax knock Real Madrid out of the last 16 of the European Champions League. At that time, Ajax unexpectedly won 4-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

On 23 April, Ajax beat Vitesse in an Eredivisie match by a score of 4–2, where four goals scored by Ajax secured their position as the first Dutch team in history to score 160 goals in all competitions in one season.

Apart from being outstanding at club level, Tadic also performed well when defending the national team. Tadic has played for Serbia U19 and U21. Apart from that, he also represented Serbia at the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Tadic first entered the senior team in 2008, at the age of only 20 years. Only in 2011, Tadic appeared regularly at the national team level. Even though he failed to get Serbia to qualify, he contributed greatly to Serbia's qualifying match at the 2014 Brazil World Cup. Tadic scored his first senior goal for Serbia in a qualifying match for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. At that time, Serbia faced Wales on 12 September 2012 and won with a score of 6-1.
