Jordan Henderson's Life and Career Journey in Football "He plays as a box-to-box midfielder"

Jordan Brian Henderson was born on 7 June 1990 in Sunderland, England, to the couple Brian Henderson and Liz Henderson. Jordan comes from a middle class family, his father is a retired policeman who has played for the police football club. While his mother works as a fitness trainer. The mother was instrumental in Jordan's growing period. Jordan has a younger brother named Jody Henderson.

Little Jordan attended Farringdon Community Sports College, and at the age of six Jordan joined the Sunderland academy. Both Jordan and his parents are fanatics of the club.

At the age of 7, Jordan often played in the wing and striker positions, and then later turned into a midfielder until now. Jordan has spent 10 years of his career with the Sunderland youth team. Jordan once led Sunderland U18 won the league championship in two consecutive seasons.

When teen Jordan met Ryan Giggs on a beach in Spain, he also claimed to idolize the former MU winger. Even so in the course of his career Jordan was hostile with Giggs on the field.

In 2008 Jordan was offered to sign his first professional contract and he accepted the offer at the end of the same year by joining the Sunderland first team. Jordan did not make many appearances in his first season and that is the reason he was loaned out.

Jordan was loaned to Championship club Coventry City for several months. There Jordan only appeared 13 times. After suffering a metatarsal fracture, Jordan returned to Sunderland in April 2009.

Jordan began to play more often, in the 2009/10 season and in the following season, Jordan played a total of 79 matches and scored 5 goals with Sunderland. In 2010 Jordan received an award as Sunderland's best young player. He also won the title in the following year.

In 2011, English club Liverpool offered around 20 million paunas to the young midfielder. Jordan finally officially anchored at Anfield right in June 2011.

Jordan made his debut in Liverpool's first match in the 2011/12 Premier League, a 1-1 draw against his former club Sunderland where he was booed by Sunderland fans.

A few days later, Jordan scored his first goal for Liverpool in a Premier League match against Bolton Wanderers at Anfield stadium.

His first season with the Reds, Jordan appeared in 48 matches in all competitions and scored two goals. But he more often dropped from the bench. In that season Jordan was named Liverpool's best young player.

The same thing happened in the 2012/13 season, although Jordan made 44 appearances and made six goals, but he has not been able to become the main choice in Liverpool's midfield.

Even breaking into being a member of the first team certainly has drained a lot physically and mentally. It is not known to many people, that Jordan has to deal with great family pressure too.

In November 2013, when Liverpool had the upper hand to pursue the Premier League title, his father was diagnosed with cancer. However, so as not to add to the burden of his son's pressure, Brian maintained the confidentiality of his illness until early 2014 when he had to undergo surgery to remove cancer from his throat.

Jordan started playing regularly with Liverpool starting the 2013/14 season. On September 29, Jordan made his 100th appearance for the club when Liverpool won 3-1 at home to Sunderland.

Jordan started the season in good condition, provided two assists in Liverpool's first three matches in the primary league, and was named the club's vice-captain after Daniel Agger's departure.

On 29 November 2013, Jordan appeared as captain for the first time for Liverpool in the Premier League against Stoke City when Steven Gerrard was on the bench. In his third season, Jordan recorded 40 appearances and scored 5 goals.

After Steven Gerrard's departure in June 2015, Jordan was appointed as Liverpool's main captain. But his appearance in the following season was disrupted by injury. He had missed the red defense for three months due to a long injury. In the 2015/16 season Jordan only appeared in 26 matches in all competitions.

Jordan began the 2016/17 season with a regular appearance at the starting eleven and on September 16 scored a spectacular goal from 25 meters against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. In that match Liverpool won 2-1, and for that goal earned him the Goal of the Month Premier League award for September 2016.

In that season, Jordan again had to deal with injury problems so he only appeared one more time than the previous season. In 2018 Jordan signed a new contract with Liverpool and took the club to the final of the champions league for the first time in a decade. But unfortunately, they have to surrender from Real Madrid.

The following season, Jordan re-emerged as Liverpool's core player, which in that season Liverpool played very neatly under the direction of Juergen Klopp, Jordan helped Liverpool become runner-up primary league and champions league champions, after defeating Spurs 2-0, Jordan was the one who lift the big ear trophy.

On the International stage, from 2009 to 2010, Jordan played 18 times for the English national team U-19, U-20 and U-21 and contributed four goals. In 2010 Jordan was invited to the senior national team. His debut occurred on November 17 against France in a trial match.

In 2012 Jordan strengthened England in the European Cup to replace injured Frank Lampard. Until now, the 29-year-old has played 51 appearances in all competitions. Jordan has felt appearing in two editions of the world cup and European cup.

In Style of play, Jordan plays as a box-to-box midfielder, although under Jürgen Klopp he has mostly been used as a defensive midfielder. Jordan is generally considered a player who works hard and brings energy to the team.

In his personal life, Jordan does not smoke, drink or play with women. Jordan has fallen in love with the only woman, Rebbeca Burnet. Their relationship was blessed with a child named Elexa henderson.

Aside from football, Jordan also enjoys playing badminton and table tennis. Not infrequently, Jordan often drove a sports car when he was young.
